This gorgeous giant pull-down counterbalanced brass and glass library lamp once hung in a hall with 14 foot ceilings in a European mansion. It was made in Belgium by the L&B company. The beautiful baby blue shade is surrounded by a net of lovely Bohemian gypsy crystal beads. High quality crystal prisms glitter everywhere and catch the light beautifully. There are lovely dragons on the brass arms. The lamp itself is circled by a ring of brass candle holders with blue glass drip trays. Blue glass "candles" can be placed in each holder - these are removed when real candles are used. One of the blue glass candles is missing. The lamp at the centre does not hold oil - it is the version ready to be wired for electrical fittings. It measures 30 inches in diameter by 65 inches high - definitely needs a high ceiling or wide stairwell to hang in!
