Ref No n3900 Lovely Antique American Ladies Writing Desk Gorgeous antique American ladies writing desk. Looks to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. Writing slab slides away into a recess with cubby holes and drawer with flip down desk lid. Very compact and was designed to be portable with removable legs that neatly bolt on in the corners. Desk itself measures 41 inches wide x 21.5 deep x 33 tall. The writing slab measures 25 inches wide x 17.75 deep. There are also two little drawers with elegant brass pulls on either end of the desk. There is a partial grain split on one side desk surface but it is not severe and could easily be clamped and glued tight. It made of a very attractive quality hardwood. A very beautiful piece indeed. Buyer to arrange for pick up or delivery of these drawers (we are willing to help with arrangements). Crating and long distance freight shipping costs would be very high outside of Canada. Ref No n5218 Birks Sterling Silver Dresser Set in Purple Lined Box This antique Birks sterling silver dresser set comes in a lovely vintage purple lined box which is in good condition. The pieces are in quite good condition - some dints and in need of polishing up. The large pieces bear the initials ELP - the comb is marked LMC and the pots are marked DB. Everything except for the nail buffer is marked sterling and the larger pieces are also marked Birks. The nail buffer is also antique sterling silver. The satin lined box is in quite good shape - hinges work fine - slight damage to outside surface as shown in photos. The whole set came from the estate of a lady who lived in Glengarry County. There is beautiful white on white embroidery on the bodice sleeves and skirt. The dress comes complete with everything you need. A long cathedral veil with satin ribbon trim and attached comb to hold it in your hair. Embroidered satin-top shoes in size 7.5B. A cute satin purse. And an absolutely stunning silver and Austrian crystal tiara necklace and earrings.
